A modern design for a 3 bedroom house in Greenwich, London.

 

The building a simple L-Shape plan made up of 2 interlocking rectilinear forms, one of single storey and the other a two storey. The crescent L-Shape provides shelters and encloses to the house, while at the same time opening out and forging a sense of connection with the exterior space.

 

The material pallet provides a range of textures both for the exterior and interior; fair face concrete, granite Douglas fir whitewashed floorboards the rich warmth of walnut, along with vibrant splashes of colour give the house a unique bespoke feel.

Freshwater residential development is located in the Claremont  Quarter of Perth. The development comprises of 44 residences, in two linear blocks of 5 storeys. The facade a simple vertical  design aesthetic is used to achieve a contemporary and minimalist building form.

Alexandra Road

This study was a high level strategic feasibility study to assess the possibility of a residential development being designed above the proposed HS2 ventilation shaft at Alexandra Road.

 

The proposed OSD is located adjacent to and above the Alexandra Place Vent Shaft. It was important that the new building form could easily be integrated above and around the proposed vent shaft and respect the existing and emerging street scene.

 

The design sought to maximise the number of duel aspect residential units ensuring a minimum number of north facing flats as possible. The majority of bedrooms overlook the street or the quiet central ‘atrium’ space in the centre of the residential blocks.

The Ram Brewery - Phase II

The redevelopment of historic Ram Brewery site in Wandsworth, a six-acre site fronting the River Wandle. The Ram Quarter will deliver 661 new homes as well as around 9,500sqm of space for shops, cafés, bars and restaurants and 200 car parking spaces for new residents.

 

The project involved the review of the second phase of the consented EPR scheme, undertaking design development and design optimisation of the (6) residential blocks – including the 36 storey tower residential tower and the (2) listed stable blocks.

Seager

The regeneration of the old Seager Gin Distillery site in Deptford, south-east London. The architectural brief was to maximise the site potential ; providing a mix of residential, commercial office and retail space and creating a vibrant  public piazza space at the centre of the site which would serve as the hub of the development. The design built upon an existing mix use planning consent for the site. A new planning application was submitted, while at the same time the planning conditions on the existing planning consent were discharged and tender documents prepared. The two schemes were developed in tandem until consent was granted for the new mixed use scheme for 303 residential unit, 7 live/work units and 4,637 sqm of commercial space

The site is situated on Queensbridge Road in the London Borough of Hackney and was previously a large warehouse/ refrigeration storage unit and Office/ showroom. The proposal for a mixed-use development, which would provided over 8,500 sq. ft of commercial /A3/retail space and 216 private and affordable residential units was submitted for planning approval and approved in 2004.

Tea Trade Wharf

Building 15 formed the last of the original warehouse conversion with the Butlers wharf Estate. The design brief was for the refurbishment and extension of the warehouse creating a number of luxury apartments above ground floor level with restaurants and lobby space at ground level.

 

The scheme comprised of 74 riverside apartments and at ground floor level a restaurant with panoramic views of the river Thames. The centre of the scheme was puncture with an eight-storey high atrium space that permitted light to pierce through the heart of the scheme into the lobby below.

York Road

The demolition of the existing public house and the erection of a new five storey mixed development on Wandsworth’s busy York Road. The scheme consists of 17 luxury one and two bedroom flats with a commercial unit occupying part of the basement, Ground, and first floor levels and 14 mechanical stacking parking bays.

The redevelopment of a 2.83-hectare Brownfield site in Maidenhead. The design - a mixed-use development scheme with residential element providing 217 apartments and 33 houses. The commercial aspect of the scheme was for 4200 sqm of B1 space. 

 

Great Jubilee Wharf

Great Jubilee Wharf is a four storey warehouse, built in in 1850-60. The conversion of the grade II listed warehouse into 30 luxury residential flats for Galliard Homes in 1996.
